Today, April 8, 2005 was our field trip to The Pond at Johnson Farms in Ben Lomond, CA. Today was a very rainy, wet actually pouring down day. We drove to school and then the whole class piled into cars, off we went to The Pond. We meet Farmer Rob
and he gave us instructions, Mrs. Wilcox (Aidan's teacher) passed out nets to start skimming. We all started skimming w. our nets, young and old in search of pond life. We found a lot of bull frog tad polls, big and small,
a red worm, some dead fish, some live fish and a crawdad. We were all drenched and we all had a blast! Aidan even slipped in the mud, he was really, really wet. He had so much fun, he loves an adventure. The class got to take the pond animals back to class. They later took them over to the science lab and looked at some things under microscope. This has been a day to remember. The pond life would have been better if it was sunny, but it was a big adventure to be soaked and exploring for pond life. It's a field trip Aidan will always remember and so will I. On the way back to class we cranked up the heater and dried his hair, he was like a wet dog!

It was wild! In summary I can't forget to mention we now have about 12 tad polls, they take about 2 years to grow into bull frogs so who knows what we'll do with them. Enjoy the pic's it was very beautiful!
