Family traditions

The last few days I've been thinking about traditions. As we all have our growing families the tradtional things we used to do may not fit anymore. That lead me to want to ask you all a question. What is your favorite family tradition? What do you want to keep and pass down to your kids? And maybe you've come up w. a few of your own along the way, I know we have. Maybe you have several, I thought it would be fun to see what other people do for let's say, thanksgiving. It's one of my personal favorites. I like to have a large early dinner w. friends and family. I love to go all out w. appetizers, soup, salad etc. about a 5 course meal w. many things on the plate. I also love to prepare a little gift for my quest, yes it's a day when I pretend to be Martha, and we all know who I'm talking about.! We also watch football and play Xbox football on another t.v., it's a blast! Sometimes we even go outside to play a game or two of basket ball. The day mostly consist of hanging around and talking and eating. It's usually pretty mellow. I'm actually already starting to prepare for it in my mind and heart, what a crazed woman I am, I know. O'wait another one, on Christmas day we like to go see a movie in the earlly afternoon, well at least before the kids were born, it might be time to start that up again... I love it, especially a Christmas flick!
